Ok, so I’d like to start this post with an apology. An apology because over the last couple of months this summer I’ve been a bit hopeless when it comes to posting on infoodieheaven. Life just seems to have become so gosh darn difficult, I’ve barely had the energy to get out of bed let alone share any new recipes. 2015 was such a difficult year for me, so difficult that I thought the balance of life, karma, life scales (whatever you want to call it) must SURELY tip in my favour in 2016. I mean, come on?! Well I was wrong. 2016 is turning out to be an even more difficult year for me, and I’m saying that as I lie in bed recovering from the surgery I had last week. And the result of all this? A serious lacking in motivation for infoodieheaven.
While life has been overwhelming and difficult at times, there have been some moments of truly delicious foodie fun. So here I bring you some snapshots of a few of my favourite meals that I’ve enjoyed throughout the summer.
A delicious picnic from Ottolenghi’s. My oh my this is one of my favourite places in London!
Dinner at the River Cottage Canteen in Bristol. Stay tuned for the Bristol Dining Club review coming soon!
Spanish Tapas class with Little Kitchen Cookery School.
Brunch at Caravan, Granary Square in London with old friends. The aubergine obsession continues!
A sensational ‘end of summer’ BBQ – marinated lamb, chicken kebabs and sausages!
No family holiday would be complete without an epic meat feast. Here’s mine thanks to the fab folks at Beachside BBQ at Saundersfoot in Pembrokeshire.
And finally, the surf to my turf. A truly delicious last supper before my surgery!
